Linguistics (Indigenous languages)

A super cool and unique Savimbo experience is a day with a guide who speaks an ancient, rare, or endangered language. The communities we work with are actively fighting to document and preserve their languages and this is a way to both reinforce their value, and learn about the jungle with a different mindset.

Many concepts about Nature and ecology are fluidly embedded in native languages, intertwined with elegant concepts about spirituality and life transitions.

Currently, we offer experiences in Cofán and Embera languages, but we can arrange other languages for an expert or advanced traveler.
